Yeeeeeeeee-Haw! Carson the Cowboy

I couldn't wait two more weeks to include these in his monthly update...I had to post them now. Ahhh! I am in love with a boy :)Are you talkin' to me?

Giggling at my sis

All smiles

He is the cutest cowboy I've ever seen!

Pete and Repeat

Wow, I knew they shared quite a few resemblances, but I was shocked when we did a picture comparison:
Don't they look so much alike? I am in LOVE with those chubber cheeks!

Carson month 4: December 2 - January 2

Carson's 3rd to 4th month was a wonderful, action packed month! He had his first Christmas and first New Year's celebration. He also started belly laughing, which is the best. Seeing your baby smile and laugh for the first time is so special. I don't want to sound like I am bragging, but Carson is seriously the best baby on the planet. If you've spent time with him, you know I'm not a biased mom...just speaking the truth :) Carson is so content and always has a smile on his face. His eyes sparkle and dance when he smiles-- just like his sister. He's weighing in at 15lbs and busting out of clothes VERY quickly because he is so tall. We've given him a new nickname: Happy Feet. It's so fitting for the little guy-- he's so happy and he's always kicking his feet. Anytime I go for a diaper change or to change his clothes, he will just giggle and kick his feet like crazy. I am so thankful for my son. Alex is so much fun and always "on"-- so it's nice to have a sweet, chill, happy baby. God knew I needed this :) I know it will change, but maybe not for a while? Please?! Please! I just want to freeze him and keep him like this forever.

He is eating every 3.5 hours and is a great sleeper. He does well with naps during the day and I am still swaddling him. Not ready to give it up quite yet! Here are some pics of our little Happy Feet:Our little monkey

Divine 2009

This post is delayed because as always, there are hundreds of pictures to go through when we have a Darby holiday! Our fam and Andrea, Brandon, Caden, Dru & Eston (ABCDE) packed up and made the trip to Little Rock for Christmas (part 2) and New Years. We had five days of great company, wonderful food, games, playing, presents and fun! When we arrived, Deb and Darby had the placed decked out. They had a special fondue dinner prepared for all of us and tons of decorations. They really outdid themselves! We stayed busy during the day playing with the kids and once they went to bed, we started the real fun: a Texas Hold 'Em tournament and planning our next girls trip to Europe! Andrea, Deb & I snuck off to the mall and did some shopping for clothes with our Christmas money. And of course, we opened gifts and stayed up waaay too late. I don't think I went to bed before 3AM any of the nights...insane. Here is a slideshow from our holiday:

And, here is a video of Alex and Eston in the holiday spirit...they are too funny!

A great time was had by all!

Missing Macy

Our poor Macy pup. She is the most patient (or stupid) dog on the planet. She takes so much torture and does it willingly. Alex is convinced Macy's purpose in life is to be her "doll."
On Saturday, we were leaving for a birthday party and as always, we checked for both dogs before we left. Emmy was by the door as usual, but no Macy. I asked Alex, and she said "Oh, she's just outside playing." Umm..no, she's not outside. Well, we realize quickly there is something wrong. Alex had two friends over so I went to the car and asked them if they knew where Macy was. Abbi (she's 6) told me "Well, I saw Alex put her in the treasure chest twice, but I took her out once because I knew that was a bad idea." I gave Alex the opportunity to fess up and admit what happened and I got the "Macy's outside" story again. I ran inside, went to playroom door and immediately unlocked her dress-up treasure chest. Sure enough, sweet Macy was shaking in the box full of princess dresses. I couldn't believe Alex locked her in there! I am so glad we thought to check before we headed out to Peter Piper Pizza. Needless to say, Alex was in trouble...for lying and for stashing the dog. GRR!

Macy, we love you sweet pup. There is a place for you in heaven with many jewels.

Alex's preschool pic

Our baby girl is in preschool three days a week and adores it. I can't believe she is getting so big. She will be 4 next month, which blows my mind. She hasn't been feeling well and asked us to pray for her last night. Aww. She also tried to put mommy in time out yesterday for not minding. She said "Look in my eyes, Mommy...I'm serious...you are not minding and made a bad choice. You need to go to time out and think about that. Understand?" I just busted out laughing! I tried not to, but it was just too cute. She gave me that bossy/serious face and it was just a little too much. All of this to say...here is her preschool photo (sorry I digress)!
