Taking time for the little things
A good friend of mine has a little girl that just started kindergarten this year. I was asking her for suggestions on my last year at home with Alex. One thing that has stuck with me, "Just enjoy her. Don't wish this time away."
So, after school I was getting Alex ready for her nap, and decided on a whim to go and play in the rain instead. While Carson napped, us girls had a great time. I had fun playing with the saturation on these photos too. I am SO glad we had this special time together and I hope to enjoy every moment with her that I get! Thanks for the great advice, Allison!

Diabetes Stinks!
On September 19th, the entire Darby family participated in the Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF. Our family raised $2,200! We are very thankful for the support and donations. All 11 family members walked...and it was a very early morning (thus why we all look so adorable).
Here are pics from our day in Little Rock. We had a blast and Nathan and I were in awe of the support for finding the cure for diabetes. It's on our "impossible prayer" list. I hope and pray there is a cure in our lifetime! Our family motto was "diabetes stinks"-- which was Alex's closing remark in the video we made to raise money. Deb designed our shirts-- way to go Deb! She was also on the committee and was in charge of all the children's activities. It was impressive. There were bounce houses, aquariums, face painting, etc. 4,000 people participated in the walk. It was an amazing day.

Grown up girl
I caught Alex on her way out to pre-k this morning because I thought she looked darling. I really wish I had taken this with my real camera, so I apologize for the quality.
Doesn't she look SO grown up? When did this happen? AHH!
