Success

Carson's endoscopy was a piece of cake. It was evident that we were surrounded in layers of prayers because every moment was calm. Carson was perfect. There really isn't another word to describe the experience. Unexpectedly, the doctors allowed us in the OR and we were able to be there until the very last moment. The doctors were so nonchalant. They were joking and laughing while we watched Carson pass out. Our doc looked at me and said, "Sorry, we forget this is a big deal for parents."
It was awesome and surreal to see our son under anesthesia. We were able to pray over him and touch him and he was never upset because we were there the whole time.
After the procedure, the nurse brought Carson back to us and he cried for about 5-10 seconds. He was so happy to see us and immediately cuddled and settled in. I guess he's a pro from doing this in January. Seriously though, most toddlers have a pretty tough time for 20-40 minutes after waking up. The docs said they've never seen a kiddo this calm and he won the "ideal patient award."

The GI doc said that things looked "normal" but we will have to wait until we get the results back from the biopsy and blood work to get the answers we've been waiting for.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, encouragement and prayers. Clearly, God is listening.
I will meet the doc next Tuesday at 1:00 to discuss the results.
