Picture Preview

The Kirkland crew came all the way from Austin to spend Labor Day weekend with our family. We had so much fun! Rachel and Ian own a photography company and they so graciously offered to take Carson's one year photos. I can't wait to see all of the proofs. I will say, it was crazy! We had four kids: a 3 month old, a 1 year old and a 16 month old...and then Alex. Whew! For those of you that have kiddos, you know how hard it is to get a good picture. So imagine our family AND their family running around outside :)

Thank you so much Rachel, Ian, Elijah and Joaquin for making the hike. Your family is beautiful and I just wish we lived closer. I can't wait to see the rest. I am so proud of you guys-- you handle parenting beautifully.
I need to make a shout out to my hubby. Poor Nathan caught the stomach flu and was in fetal position the morning we took photos. He sucked it up and made an honorable effort. Poor guy was so miserable :( Thanks, Nathan for taking one for the team. Finally, everyone says Carson is "baby Nathan." While I do believe he is a spitting image of his daddy, I think I see a bit of mommy in this photo. Agree?
